افغانستان در مسابقات جهانى کرکت 20 اوره از انگلستان شکست خورد.
چهارمین دوره مسابقات جام جهانى بيست اوره کرکت از روز سه شنبه، تاريخ ٢٨ سنبله درکولمبو پايتخت سريلانکا به اشتراک ١٢ تيم برجسته جهان آغاز و و تا ۲ میزان ۲۰۱۲ در سریلانکا ادامه خواهد داشت.
دیروز جمعه ۳۱ سنبله ساعت ۳۰ : ۱۸ به وقت افغانستان مسابقه میان تیم های افغانستان و انگلستان برگزار گردید. قرعه را نوروزمنگل کپتان تیم ملی کرکت برنده شد و تیم کرکت انگلستان را به توپ زدن دعوت کرد، که به نظر اکثر کار آگاهان کرکت این یک اشتباه کپتان تیم کرکت افغانستان بود.
تیم کرکت انگلستان در ۲۰ آور با اوت شدن ۵ بازیکن ۱۹۶ را پوره کرد و به تیم کرکت افغانستان هدف ۱۹۷ را تعین کرد. بازیکنان تیم کرکت افغانستان تحت تاثیر این هدف رفته و یکی پی دیگر با از دست دادن ۸ بازیکنانش صرف توانستند که ۲۶ دوش کسب کنند. اما گلبدین نایب تحت تاثیر نرفته و افغانستان را از پائین ترین ریکارد جهانی نجات داد و در ۳۲ بال ۴۴ دوش انجام داد که شامل سه ۶ امتیازه و ۵ چهار امتیازه بود. وشاپور جدران نیز با کسب ۱ شش امتیازه توانست که ۹ دوش کسب کند که جمله امتیازات افغانستان به ۸۰ دوش رسید که با یک پیروزی غیر پیش بینی شده، انگلستان با ۱۱۶ دوش برتری در مقابل افغانستان را مغلوب ساخت.
این اولین بار است که مسابقات جام جهانى بيست اوره کرکت در یک کشور آسیایی برگزار می شود، سه دوره پیشین این مسابقات در آفریقای جنوبی، بریتانیا و جزایر وست ایندیز برگزار شده است.
روز چهارشنبه افغانستان در اولین مسابقه این دوره، مقابل هند قرار گرفت و با وجود تجربه کم در این زمینه، هند باید همه توان و تجربه خود برای دستیابی به این پیروزی را به کار می برد.
در مرحله مقدماتی، چهار گروه متشکل از سه کشور در مقابل یکدیگر قرار می گیرند. افغانستان در این دور از مسابقات در گروپ الف با هند و انگلستان هم گروه بود.
باید یاد آور شوم که پائین ترین ریکارد در کرکت ۲۰ آوره ۶۹ است که مربوط تیم کرکت کشور کینیا میشود.
