تیم کرکت افغانستان با پیروزی بر کویت به مسابقات جهانی 20 اوره راه یافت
در مسابقه امروز یکشنبه ۱۱ حمل، قرعه را محمد نبی کپتان تیم کرکت افغانستان برنده شد و تیم کرکت کویت را به توپ زدن (بیتنگ) دعوت کرد تیم کرکت کویت در اور ۱۹.۲ با از دست دادن همه بازیکنان ۱۳۳ دوش انجام داد که به تیم کرکت افغانستان هدف ۱۳۴ را تعین کرد. در مقابل تیم ملی کرکت افغانستان هدف تعین شده را با از دست دادن ۶ بازیکن در اور ۱۹.۱ پوره کرد و مسابقه را به نفع افغانستان تمام کرد. سمیع الله شینواری از تیم افغانستان بهترین بازیکن این مسابقه شناخته شد.
تیم ملی کرکت افغانستان قبل از این بر تیم های عمان و بهرین پیروز شده و از تیم امارت متحده عربی شکست خورده . این مسابقات میان کشور های آسیایی برگزار شده که در گروپ الف آن تیم های هانک کانک، نیپال، مالیزیا، مالدیف و سنگاپور در گروپ بی آن افغانستان، امارات متحده عربی، کویت ، عمان و بحرین ادامه دارد که تیم های هانگ کانگ، نیپال، امارات و افغانستان به مرحله نیمه نهایی این رقابت ها و جام جهانی بیست اوره راه یافتند.
